Palermo,
17-Jun-2015 -
Mario Pagliaro, a
chemistry and solar energy scholar based in Sicily at Italy's Research
Council, has delivered the
evaluation
report of an important research project in materials chemistry at
Estonian
Research Council (
Tartu,
Estonia).
The report is the first delivered by Italy's renown chemist to the ERC, a
governmental foundation that was established on the basis of the Estonian
Science Foundation and combined with the Research Cooperation Centre, to
concentrate the R&D funding, consolidating different grants and types
of funding.
Following
peer review, the
accepted proposals receive significant funding aimed to enhance the
competitiveness of Estonian research across the world.
"
Along with France's Research
Agency, the Pazi Foundation and the Royal Society, acting as reviewer
for such another prestigious institution -- says Dr Pagliaro --
is
a new welcome opportunity to enhance the standing and the influence of
research carried out in Sicily".
