- Following
the
issue published in 2016, the international peer-revewed
journal
Chemistry Today
will publish a Special Supplement on "Catalysis and Biocatalysis"
in the September issue.
To be edited by
Mario Pagliaro,
a member of the journal scientific board, the supplement will comprise
eight
research papers written by leading academic and
industrial researchers to whom invitations and author guidelines have
been sent in the last few days.
The goal of the issue is to present some of the latest researches on
catalysis and biocatalysis that, starting in the lab, have found
or may realistically find soon, practical application in industry.

biocatalysis -- says Dr Pagliaro --
are knowing wonderful new
applications that are rapidly transforming the whole chemical industry
in light of the forthcoming solar economy in which chemical industry
raw materials will all originate from biomass, and no longer from oil.
This themed issue will show striking examples of this trend".
