questions related to each of the five chapters comprising her Thesis
entitled “
Sulfonated Mesoporous
Silica-Carbon Nanocomposites for Biomass Conversion” describing
significant achievements which
include the first direct synthetic protocol to make silica-carbon
nanocomposites from silica and carbon molecular precursors, subsequent
sulfonation and with accessible strong SO3H acid sites and use for
several acid-catalyzed biomass conversion reactions.
