Vania Zuin and Mario Pagliaro Editors at Chemistry Central Journal

London, 1-Dec-2016 - Vania Zuin and Mario Pagliaro have been appointed Editors of Chemistry Central Journal new Green and Sustainable Chemistry section.

Chemistry Central Journal is an high impact (IF = 2.55 in 2014) open access journal owned by SpringerOpen offering a fast publication schedule whilst maintaining rigorous peer review. Articles are published with their final citation after acceptance, in both fully browsable web form, and as a formatted PDF available through Chemistry Central Journal and SpringerOpen websites.

This new section was launched in 2016 and will publish peer-reviewed open access articles in all areas of green and sustainable chemistry, including green routes to the synthesis of compounds and materials, catalysis and biocatalysis that lead to sustainable processes, biomass conversion, biofuels, biorefineries, green metrics, microwave and ultrasonic-assisted reactions, improvements in energy efficiency and nanotechnology that enhances the sustainability aspects of chemical processes.

Vania Zuin is a Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, Brazil). Her background is Analytical Green Chemistry and Green Chemistry Education, with major interests in developing green analytical methodologies that are incipient to determine bioactive high-value organic substances extracted from Brazilian agro-industrial residues, particularly in separation science. Also, her research focuses on the development and dissemination of Green Chemistry educational material for Higher Education.
