Mario Pagliaro has been appointed today in
the
Advisory Editorial Board of
Sustainable Chemistry and Pharmacy.

Kümmerer, Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, Germany, Sustainable Chemistry
and Pharmacy is a cross-disciplinary journal published by Elsevier
reporting research in which a clear link to sustainability is made in
chemistry and chemical technology, and pharmaceutical science and
pharmaceutical technology.
Contributions come from all disciplines includinghumanities, social
science, jurisprudence and economics to discuss sustainable chemistry
and pharmacy related issues. Papers describing new concepts or
contributing to a better understanding of concepts related to
sustainable chemistry and pharmacy, including circular economy, and
meta analyses that report findings from re-examination and
interpretation of existing data are welcome.
The journal publishes original research aticles, critical reviews,
short
communications, and discussion papers.
Mario Pagliaro is a chemistry and energy scholar based at
Italy's CNR where he leads a research Group whose work is developed in
co-operation with leading researchers based in 20 countries, including
Israel, China, Portugal and Canada. He has worked and studied in Italy,
the Netherlands, Israel, France, Germany and Quebec. His research
interests are in the broad areas of nanochemistry, solar energy and the
bioeconomy. In 2008 he
introduced the term "Helionomics" in the book
Flexible Solar Cells.
His Group's research achievements, include over 180 research papers,
20 books, several book chapters and green chemistry technologies used
across the world. He has a prolonged interest also in sustainability
and management topics. Between September and December 2015 he was
president of Palermo's public energy utility.
