RSC Top 10% AuthorsCambridge, 18-Mar-2015 - Mario Pagliaro, based on the latest figures released by the Royal Society of Chemistry, is in the top 10% of highly cited authors in the General Chemistry portfolio of RSC journals.

Co-authored with Professor Yi-Jun Xu (Fuzhou University) and published in 2014 in Chemical Society Reviews, the articles from Dr Pagliaro’s research Group are “Artificial photosynthesis over graphene-semiconductor composites. Are we getting better?” and “Nanochemistry-derived Bi2WO6 nanostructures: towards production of sustainable chemicals and fuels induced by visible light”.

As of Feb 2016, the number of citations of the graphene article was 127, whereas the photocatalysis study was cited 71 times. Similarly impressive the number of downloads: 1804 and 1352, respectively.

With 43,773 articles authored by 118,240 authors in 141 different countries, the RSC is the biggest publisher of chemical sciences research in the world. The Society’s General Chemistry journals and current Impact Factor are:

Chemical Communications - 6.834
Chemical Science - 9.211
Chemical Society Reviews - 33.383
RSC Advances - 3.840
New Journal of Chemistry - 3.086
Faraday Discussions - 4.606

Mario Pagliaro is a chemistry and energy scholar based at Italy's CNR where he leads a research Group whose work in the broad areas of nanochemistry, solar energy and the bioeconomy is developed in co-operation with leading researchers based in 20 countries.
