Project in materials science reviewed on behalf of France's Research Agency

Mario Pagliaro, frequent reviever for France's Agence Nationale de la Recherche2-Jun-2018 - Mario Pagliaro has delivered in the last days to France's Agence Nationale de la Recherche the evaluation report of a research project in materials science

Employing a method based on competitive peer reviews compliant with international standards, France's ANR invites eminent foreign scientists to review proposals: every year more than 8,000 peer reviewers assist the Agency by providing their expertise.

Providing relevant funding for project-based research in all fields of science to public research organisations and to private companies, ANR funds research in all fields of science - for both basic and applied research - to public research organisations and universities, as well as to private companies.

"This is the third time we wcting as reviewer for the ANR -- Dr Pagliaro comments.

"It is always particularly welcome to review for the ANR as we are directly acquainted with the quality of France's scientific research and educational system".

Last March, Dr Pagliaro was invited in Montpellier to give a lecture at Institute Charles Gerhardt Montpellier.

Members of his former research Group in Italy will shortly (next October) start co-tutoring the PhD of a bright Italian student at the Ecole Centrale de Lille. Previosuly, in 2005 Dr Pagliaro was Maître de conférences associé at Montpellier ESCM.

His Group has co-authored plentiful research articles with Professor Eric Le Bourhis from Université de Poitiers' and Franck Dumeignil and Sebastien Paul at Lille' University.

In 2014 Dr Pagliaro guest-edited the "Hybrid Materials" Nanoscale themed issue along with Professor Jean-Marie Nedelec from Institut Universitaire de France and Institut de Chimie de Clermont-Ferrand.

Dr Pagliaro is also a reviewer for several important research funding bodies and Ministries across the world .
